48. Mrs. Andrew Ten Eyck House
23 First Street
ca.1845
A two-story, three-by-three bay, wood-frame Picturesque style
dwelling. The building is distinguished by its broad overhanging
gable roof eaves, which are supported on scroll-sawn "S" brackets.
The building features paneled corner boards and original narrow wood
clapboards. A bay window highlights the south elevation. The main
entry is accessed by a porch over the raised walk out basement on
the east elevation. The entry is set within a finely crafted
late-Greek Revival style surround.
