54. Josiah Sherman House (Tobin House)
1 Westerlo Street
ca.1838

A two-story, three-by-eight bay wood-frame former hotel with a two-story covered porch spanning the entire eastern elevation. Vernacular in its architectural design, the building is now sheathed with vinyl siding and its windows, although in their original locations, have been replaced with non-historic units. This location is also the site of the Coeymans Castle, which was erected by Barent Coeymans ca.1673. It was demolished in 1833 for the current building.
